It’s very different! Rrose Selavy doesn’t have a blackcurrant note like Little Flower does, and Little Flower feels much sheerer and “dewier.”

Little Flower is definitely less green and astringent than L’Ombre — but I think it has enough “overlap” for Diptyque fans! It also reminds me slightly of Les Parfums de Rosine’s Roseberry, but I don’t have a sample on hand to sniff for reference.

Those rose pasties crack me up. The other shot, with CS lying on her back, is pretty wacky, too. Definitely merging the sacred and the profane with this “shower of roses” concept!

RdF don’t have samples of this new fragrance on their site yet, but I notice they do have attractive attractive sampling flights of the other fragrances.

How interesting…I’m crazy for roses myself, especially so after a 2018 trip to see the damascena rose harvest in Bulgaria.
I wore a 90s pale pink Marc Jacobs silk slip dress (eBay) and a vintage pale pink hat with a touch of feathers and net veil. I was trying to win a bottle in their contest (I did not), plus an excuse to dress up is fun!
That little nosegay she had was so sweet and I found her to be very gracious. When she shook my hand she said, “Hi, I’m Chloe.” I’m sure she knew I was tongue tied and she had to speak first!

Perhaps there will be an intense version of it at some point 😉

Ah, I wish we’d met! I wore a rose-themed necklace and scarf. It was so hot in there…I didn’t linger long after I’d met her and had my bottle signed.

I was a little nervous too! I asked her whether she’d had a chance to stockpile CdG Red: Rose before it was discontinued and she said she does have a couple of bottles tucked away… but she has ended up liking Little Flower even more. They even did a blind “smell test” during its development and she chose it over the CdG!

Wasn’t her wrist corsage gorgeous?!
