Yves Saint Laurent Coeur ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 12 May 2026 5 Comments

Yves Saint Laurent has launched Coeur (Fetish Amber), a new unisex fragrance in the luxury Vestiaire des Parfums series.

A fetish amber for a fetish talisman, CŒUR transmutes the couturier’s iconic heart into a precious new scented icon. A subversive clash, warm yet metallic, vibrant yet boldly sensual, captured by Daniela Andrier.

“The carnal, captivating aura of the amber accord,” as the perfumer defines it, embodies the talisman’s provocative message of love. In a radical move, its traditionally suave, warm character is reinvented for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty in a daring hot-and-cold duality.

Piercing its resinous depth with the icy precision of aldehydes, Daniela Andrier creates a verticality and a metallic glint unknown to classical amber structures. This olfactory tension finds its inspiration in the jewel itself, where the glow of the red amber echoes the vibrant ruby stones, while the cold aldehydes capture the glint of the metallic structure. For this smoldering heart, precious orris butter offers powdery, buttery and violet facets. Distilled from noble Iris pallida, this rare treasure requires a demanding three-year journey from planting to harvest to unleash its most coveted signature. Empowered by a fresh Ourika Lavender Scent Trek™, another Moroccan botanical jewel crafted for YSL.

Additional notes include cardamom, floral accord, almond accord, cedar, patchouli, myrrh, cistus and musks.

Yves Saint Laurent Coeur (Fetish Amber) is available in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Parfum (and possibly a 35 ml size is coming as well).

Well, I checked and that extremely confusing red heart is not moulded into the bottle, it’s just propped up in front of it. The scent is in the standard house bottle, and the prices are 230€ for 75 mL and 315€ for 125 mL.

Oh give me strength, the first two paragraphs of the product’s blurb are more than enough to put me off…!
